Hey Guys, VoodooForums is not working well at all.  It is built on wordpress / bbpress and I have read that these types of issues are typical with bbpress.

So I updated the entire site and started this new topic to see if it is working better.  If not, we will either have to chose another platform, or maybe since most of the development and debugging for VS is finished, we figure out another way to communicate.

BTW, I just checked my PM’s and it seems as though I missed a lot of PM’s the last 5 months, sorry about that.  I always forget to check my PM’s anyway, so it is best to email me at support at voodooshield.com.

Anyway, let’s try this thread and see how it does now that everything is updated.

    Thank you guys!

khanyash: If “Rules” is disabled, does the rules option appear in the user prompt?

Yeah, if the Rules feature is disabled, the rules option should not appear in the user prompt.  If you find a scenario where it does appear in the user prompt when the Rules feature is disabled, please let me know and I will fix it, thank you!

Hey guys, this should fix any issue with WLC causing VS to “freeze”. As far as whitelisting Not Safe items while they are being analyzed, there might be a way to do this, but I really need to see a screenshot to make sure we are on the right page.

    Hi Dan,

I’m sure it’s just an oversight, but I get a different hash value for 6.02a beta.

    Windows 10 Home 64-bit, version 1909, build 18363.1082 (hyper-threading disabled). Comodo Firewall 12.2.2.7036. Microsoft Defender Antivirus. HMP.A 3.8.6 Build 875 & HMP 3.8.20 b314 (64-bit). VoodooShield 6.02a beta. Google Chrome 85.0.4183.121 (Official Build) (64-bit) run in Comodo sandbox.

    Hey Dan,

Quick question;  On the Whitelist tab > scroll to the right > what is the VoodooAi number?

    Thanks.

Hey Krusty, it is the VoodooAi result on a scale of 0 (safe) to 100 (unsafe) ;).

OK, this is bizarre and I have no explanation. Yesterday, I ran the CRC twice (just to be sure before posting here) and got the same (different from yours) result. Then, I deleted the file.  Just now, after seeing your and Krusty’s replies, I restored the file from the recycle bin and re-ran the CRC and got your result 😐

I just tried to install mailbird from getmailbird.com

The amount of popups in “Autopilot” is high for my taste…

Screenshot from .exe that downloaded the installer.

    And the last popup.

I just installed Mailbird on AutoPilot with all default VS settings and experienced two prompts (the very first two that you posted), and I carefully looked at both blocks and confirmed these are both legitimate blocks that need to be blocked in order to properly secure the computer.

As far as the .bat, commandline and possible exploit blocks (the third, forth and fifth blocks you posted) are concerned, these do not need to be blocked and were not blocked when I tested.  So I am guessing that there is a setting in your VS settings that is different from the VS default settings, and that is probably why you experienced the last 3 blocks.  Do you have any settings that are different from the VS default settings?  Thank you!
